2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes the data your browser sends in order to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks:

  • IP address
  • date and time of the request
  • the page requested and the referring page
  • browser type and operating system

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website. I do not combine this data with other data and do not use it to identify you.

Cloudflare processes this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement. Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Details: Cloudflare privacy policy.

3. Cookies, analytics and fonts

This website does not use analytics, tracking or advertising, and I do not set any cookies. Cloudflare may set a technically necessary cookie to protect the site against automated attacks (§ 25(2) TDDDG).

The fonts are served from this website. No connection to Google or another font provider is made.

4. Contact by email or phone

If you contact me by email or phone, I process the details you give me (such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a possible contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete the data once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

5. Booking a call

The buttons for scheduling a call link to Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA). No data is sent to Calendly until you follow the link. If you book a call there, Calendly processes the details you enter, such as your name and email address, and passes them on to me so that I can prepare and hold the call. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Details: Calendly privacy notice.

6. Links to other websites

This website links to my LinkedIn profile. This is a plain link: no data is sent to LinkedIn until you follow it. From then on, LinkedIn's own privacy policy applies.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data I hold about you (Art. 15)
  • have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16)
  • have your data erased (Art. 17)
  • have the processing restricted (Art. 18)
  • receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
  • object to processing that is based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
